When I first heard that I had to create a blog for my online media class I was ecstatic! As an Electronic Media major, I love all things having to do with social media and being able to create a blog about all my favorite things and sharing them with all my followers has been a fun rollercoaster overall. The main thing I would want to improve is the entire look of my site, I would definitely want to make this blog look more professional but fun and girly at the same time. I tried my best to promote all my posts on my social media platforms but didn’t promote the posts on platforms such as Pinterest and Facebook, I will be promoting all my future posts on those sites to grow my viewer numbers. I would say that my best experience with this blog project has been the feedback from my friends and just people who enjoy viewing my posts. I really like hearing what everyone has to say and getting opinions and even new ideas that I can create new posts with. I really want to professionalize this blog and continue working on it because, not only is it fun but it could really help me in the future. I plan on pursuing a electronic media/broadcasting career and having this blog on my resume would look great for future job opportunities.
My most popular week was the week of April 10th through the 16th, I got 64 views and 44 visitors within this week which was very exciting for me and pushed me to keep posting new content. The most popular blog post I had during this journey was my “Latest Skin Care Hack”, I got 36 views and 22 visitors on this post. I would say that this was my most popular post because who doesn’t want to get the most perfect skin on a budget, this hack changed my life and I hope it changed my readers too. I’m very glad I started up this blog because I can not only post things on my blog about beauty tips I love but I can also promote them on instagram and twitter and just share all my posts with all my follows on their too. I enjoy expressing myself in the world of all things beauty and fashion and this blog really helps me show my very own brand to others.
