Feeling Stressed?

At school or even at work things can get a little stressful. Wait what am I saying, I mean things can get A LOT STRESSFUL! Sometimes the things we decide to do while we’re stressed aren’t always the best, but I might have something you can try that is both stress relieving as well as lots of fun. When I feel stressed from school, work or from practice I draw and paint in my journal or on canvases. I’m no artist of course, but when you do this everything just feels like it is getting lifted off your shoulders.

How To Start:

To start off you can get a sketch journal from Marshalls or Ross, I got mine from Marshalls because they’re both cute and extremely affordable. Once you’re comfortable with drawing in the journal move it to a canvas! I usually purchase my canvases at 5 Bellow or any Dollar Tree, they’re good quality and also very affordable, especially if you think you’ll need to start over. It took me a couple tries to feel comfortable to start painting on the canvases but it wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be. Once you finish your painting on the canvas you immediately fall in love with it and want to hang it up or obviously post a snap of it. Painting has always helped me feel a little less stressed especially during finals week or even when I’m just bored in my dorm with nothing to do.
